TALK AFRICA: Belt & Road Initiative

The Belt and Road Initiative was in 2013 proposed to enhance the development of participating countries through closer ties. And now, China recently hosted the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation to discuss ways to make this initiative a reality. The One Belt One Road Forum also sought to create fresh energy for pursuing interconnected development. And as Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated in his trip to Africa earlier this year - with the deepening of cooperation, the African continent will get more development benefits. So as parties discussed ways to maximize outcomes, how will these benefits re-position Africa in the changing global economic situation? And what key concerns should African leaders prioritize for the Belt and Road Initiative?
